ABOUT THE GAME
What is CW Battle Royale?
CW Battle Royale is a free online game for ham radio operators who work CW (Morse code). There's nothing new to learn on the air: you make QSOs the way you always do, your logger sends a copy of each logged contact to the game, and every CW QSO scores points on live leaderboards. Players compete every day, in weekly divisions and in monthly seasons. It's the sister game of FT8 Battle Royale, with its own separate players and scores.
How do I join?
In N1MM Logger+, Log4OM or Ham Radio Deluxe, turn on the UDP contact broadcast and add cwbattle.com port 12060. Log a CW QSO and your callsign appears on the board. Other loggers can upload an ADIF file. The step-by-step setup takes a few minutes.
Is it free?
Yes. There's no signup and no account. Your logged callsign is your player name, and your normal logging, LoTW and QRZ uploads don't change.
How is scoring done?
- Every CW QSO is worth 1 point, +4 if you're the first player today to work that station on that band.
- POTA and SOTA contacts get +2. 6m and 10m count 1.5×.
- Happy Hours, weekly CWT/SST sessions and big contest weekends are 2x events, and three daily bounty countries are worth bonus points.
- Work a station someone else already worked on the same band today and you steal their points.
- QSOs are checked against the Reverse Beacon Network. Verified QSOs earn every bonus; unverified ones score base points only.
